Upcoming workshops:

"Monogamy or Open Relationship?" (a program sponsored by the California Men's Gatherings) will be offered on October 2nd at 7PM at the LGBT Center in San Diego.

"Should you be out to your Doctor?  How to do it." will be offered on Ocrober 29th at noon at the LGBT Center in San Diego.

A "Lunch and Learn" will be offered on December 17th at noon at the LGBT Center in San Diego.  Topic to be announced.

"Invisible Men: what to do when you're not young and cute anymore" was offered on November 21, 2007 at The LGBT Center in San Diego.

"An introduction to Buddhist meditation" was offered on October 21, 2007 to the Gay Men's Meditation Group (a program sponsored by the California Men's Gatherings) in San Diego.

"A Panel Discussion of 3 gay therapists" - on September 20, 2007, the Men's Coming Out Group at The Center invited me to be one of three San Diego male therapists participating in a panel discussion on the following topics: (1) How therapy can help gay men overcome issues like shame, depression, addictions and compartmentalization; (2) How therapists have helped men be more "out" in their personal lives and at work; (3) Recommendations for men who want to feel more comfortable with their sexual identities and achieve a greater level of happiness and connection; and (4) How to go about finding, interviewing and selecting a therapist. 

“Grief:  coming out the other side” was offered on April 22, 2006 to the psychotherapeutic community of San Diego (a program sponsored by the San Diego Institute of Bioenergetics).

"How can a therapist help you in your coming out process?" was offered on March 16, 2006 to the Men's Coming Out Group at The Center in San Diego.

 "Some particular needs of San Diego's LGBT community" was offered on January 25, 2006 to the Regional Resource Center of Blue Cross of California at their San Diego Regional Headquarters.

"The gay men's support group" was a group I created and facilitated for Psychiatric Centers at San Diego from January 2004 to August 2005. 

"The assertiveness support group" was a group I created and facilitated for Psychiatric Centers at San Diego from April 2004 to January 2005. 

"The meditation/relaxation group" was a group I created and facilitated for Psychiatric Centers at San Diego from May 2004 to June 2005. 

"Taking a chance on happiness:  is happiness different for gay and bisexual men?" was a community gathering offered at the November 2003 California Men's Gathering in Julian.

"The gay men's support group" was a group I created and facilitated for Kaiser Permanente - Pt. Loma Department of Psychiatry from February 2002 to August 2003. 

"The assertiveness support group" was a group I created and facilitated for Kaiser Permanente - Pt. Loma Department of Psychiatry from August 2002 to August 2003. 

"The meditation/relaxation group" was a group I created and facilitated for Kaiser Permanente - Pt. Loma Department of Psychiatry from August 2002 to August 2003. 

"The healthy relationships group" was a group I created and facilitated for Kaiser Permanente - Pt. Loma Department of Psychiatry from September 2002 to August 2003. 

 "Identifying and working through blocks to self-fulfillment" was a community gathering offered at the November 2002 California Men's Gathering in Julian.

 "Making peace with our fathers" was a workshop offered at the November 2000 California Men's Gathering in Julian.

"Clinical Issues for children of LGBT parents" was offered to the staff of COLLAGE (Children of Lesbians and Gays Everwhere) on August 21, 1997 at their San Francisco national headquarters.  I was a clinical consultant for COLLAGE from October 1996 through June 1998.

"Bereavement, grief and loss" was offered on a regular basis during 1996 and 1997 at the San Francisco Center for Living.
